12). How many people are on the Internet?
There are many different figures available on the number of people 'On the Net.' Whatever figure you use be realistic and learn the facts behind the numbers. Case in point: you can hear an advertising claim of "168,000,000 people are now on the Net and this number is growing at a rate of 63,0000 people per day." That's great and may be true, but what does it mean to you? What's your piece of this pie? Do you believe all 168,000,000 people will visit your site? If they do, you may have a new business to market: How to attract all Internet users to your site.

With so many claims how can I figure my real Internet market? Let's assume the above advertising claim to be true. Here's one way of estimating your real Internet market:

bullet

3 out of 4 Internet users live in North America- The USA and Canada make up the vast majority of Internet users. Other counties have a different structure and high costs associated with surfing. This is changing, but North America will be your biggest market for now. Traffic reports will bare this out.

Internet surfers from work:

bullet

2 out of 3 Internet North American users access the Internet from work- More and more companies are allowing employees Internet access as well as Intranet access for specific company related information.

bullet

1 out of 5 Internet users at work have limited access the Internet- Some companies have strict policies regulating any Internet access.

bullet

4 out of 5 Internet users at work have Web access from work - Some companies have only Email Internet access.

Internet surfers from home: 1 out of 3 North American users 'technically' have Internet access from home.

bullet

3 out of 4 people with Internet access actually use it- There are many ways to calculate Internet users including computers sold with modems. There's an assumption that if you have a modem you'll use it for the Internet.

13) What is FraudCall and why do you have it?
Due to the recent attempts that have been made against us, we have decided to install FRAUDCALL in our ordering system. He have had several attempts made against us where people have signed up for hosting using PayPal accounts that did not belong to them. We have implemented FRAUDCALL, by Varilogix. FRAUDCALL, screens by way of telephone all orders that are placed through Tommy House Web Design. Here is how it works:
bullet

Customer would choose product

bullet

Proceed through order system

bullet

Enter Personal & Billing information

bullet

During the order process BEFORE any transaction fee's, the VariLogiX Order Verification System would place a call to the phone number that the client provided in the order form.

bullet

The client would receive a call from our system stating the clients First Name, Last Name, Domain Name, Order Date, Total order amount.

bullet

The client would then have to approve the order over the phone by way of a double verification entry or reject the order.

bullet

Once the order has been verified and approved by the client the order form would refresh and the client could then complete the order

bullet

Tommy House Web Design would then receive the order and an email from our system alerting us of an approved order from our verification system as well as a detailed fraud score from our AFIS system. (AFIS tracks detailed info based on the computer you use during sign-up)

bullet

If the order was declined or not completed by the customer, or the client did not provide a valid phone number the order would be declined, Our system would then alert Tommy House Web Design with an email.

We feel adding this level of security well help everyone! We all work to hard to be taken advantage of! Not only do we call you to verify your order over the phone, but your IP number is tracked all the way down as shown here;

bullet

IP Address Latitude/Longitude & Billing Address Latitude/Longitude comparison

bullet

Reverse phone number lookup

bullet

Map actual customer locations

bullet

and much more...
